Wroclaw rider Szymon Wozniak stunned host of current and former FIM Speedway Grand Prix stars to snatch the Polish Championship in Gorzow on Sunday.

Wozniak topped the podium after winning the final ahead of Gorzow racer Przemyslaw Pawlicki, outgoing champion Patryk Dudek and former world No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel.

The former Leicester man reached the last four after finishing his heats on 10 to reach the semi-final, winning that ahead of Dudek, Janusz Kolodziej and local favourite Bartosz Zmarzlik.

Pawlicki topped the heat scorechart on 13 to qualify automatically for the final, with Hampel joining him on 12.

Dudek and Zmarzlik both bagged 10 in their heats, but it was disappointment for Maciej Janowski and Piotr Pawlicki, who missed the cut on seven.
